Compete success. I roughly 38/45 of our grafts were accepted. They will mostly all be put into hives directly, so we won't know how well they mate until the next cycle. It turns out the trick is you have to be INCREDIBLY gentle when you graft. The larvae have to come out and go into their respective cells absolutely smoothly. If you roll them or struggle at all in any way it is best just to abandon the larvae. The next round of grafts was all done by our main lady beekeeper Lyndsay! Hopefully she is as successful as I was in our last attempt and we can really get this queen rearing project rolling!
